Deprecated (16384)
: Since 5.0.0: Query::order() is deprecated. Use Query::orderBy() instead.
/srv/cpusers/u25s1081/dev/src/Controller/PagesController.php, line: 63
You can disable all deprecation warnings by setting `Error.errorLevel` to `E_ALL & ~E_USER_DEPRECATED`. Adding `src/Controller/PagesController.php` to `Error.ignoredDeprecationPaths` in your `config/app.php` config will mute deprecations from that file only. Region boundaries in Victoria were realigned, creating the new Casinia Region (Casey and Cardinia).
A Ranger group designed a Region Banner, inspiring the first Region Badge.
2011
Becoming Casey District
Casinia Region was realigned and became Casey District.
The Casinia badge design was refined into today’s Casey District Badge.
The Badge
Symbols of Our District
The badge features the waters of Westernport Bay, a cog for industry, an ancient oak for Berwick, ferns for the foothills, the horizon and star with a Guide trefoil, and an owl for Moonlit Sanctuary and Brown Owl.

Ging Gang Gooli
Lyrics by Robert Baden-Powell
Ging gang gooli, gooli, gooli, gooli watcha
Ging gang goo. Ging gang goo
Heyla, oh heyla sheyla
Heyla sheyla, sheyla, ho-o-o
Shallawadee, shallawadee, shallawadee, shallawadee
Oompah, oompah, oompah
My ship sailed from China with a cargo of tea,
All laden with presents for you and for me.
They brought me a fan, just imagine my bliss,
When I found myself fanning like this, like this, like this
Pizza Hut
A Pizza Hut, a Pizza Hut,
Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut
McDonalds, McDonalds,
Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut
Girl Guides is a group for girls to meet together each week to make friends, learn new skills, have fun, help others, and try new things.
Girls are in groups with other girls of a similar age.
Any girl can join Girl Guides.
It does not matter where you were born, what language you speak, or what religion you follow.
We welcome girls from every country, culture, and belief.
If you are a girl who wants to make friends, have fun, and try new things — you are welcome at Girl Guides.
Girl Guides is for all girls.
Girl Guide groups are led by trained, female volunteer Guide Leaders who are kind, skilled, and trustworthy.
They give their time to help, support, and assist each girl in the group.
To keep everyone safe, all Guide Leaders have passed important safety checks, including a Police Check, Working With Children Check or VIT, First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009), and online Child Safe Child Friendly training.

Every Girl Guide is welcome to attend up to three sessions before officially joining. This helps them get a feel for the group and activities.

Please check your spam or junk folder if you don’t see it.
Complete the Form and Payment
Sign in to the Portal within 7 days before the link expires. You'll complete 6 short sections (about 30 minutes in total) — you can do this anywhere, anytime.
The final section is for payments:
- Annual Girl Guide payment: $60 (new) or $45 (renew)
- Per term: $90 for Girl Guides Victoria
- Additional per term fee to the Unit (varies — please ask your Unit Leader)
Financial Support

Parent FAQ
Learn more about Girl Guides Victoria and how we support your child's Guiding experience.
Girls across Victoria are invited to join the Girl Guides Victoria program.
To get started, visit our Find A Unit online locator to enquire about your child trialling the Girl Guide program in your local area. Be sure to check that the day of the Unit meetings is suitable for your family, and the Unit meets the age needs of your child. Your enquiry will be sent to the Unit Leader to confirm current availability. We offer prospective Guides the opportunity to experience the Guiding program firsthand, for up to 3 meetings before joining!
We even have an online Guiding program, called Go Girls, which is delivered virtually for those in remote areas, with transportation issues, medical concerns or on a waitlist for an in-person Unit.
The final step in your child becoming a Girl Guide is via Youth Registration. You can join at any time through the Member Portal to begin a journey of discovery and fun, in an environment tailored to Girls, and led by Girls.
Girls can join Girl Guides from 5 years old. Girls aged between 5-17 can join Girl Guides and take part in the Guide Program. Guide Unit age ranges vary, so make sure to check your local Unit/s for ages.
The fun doesn’t stop just because you become an adult! Our extraordinary Leaders are adult members aged 18 and over. Adult members can also join peer groups such as the Olave Program for women 18-29 and Trefoil Guilds.
Girl Guide Units meet once per week on weekdays, after school and in the evenings during school terms. Guides also have the option to take part in different camps, excursions and adventure activities. We also offer a school holiday program filled with fun and adventure in a great range of locations throughout the year.
Use our Find a Unit Locator and search by postcode or suburb to find your nearest Guide Unit.
Age groups vary across our Units. Use our Find a Unit Locator to learn about your nearest Units.
Girl Guides Youth Registration has two parts:
Annual Registration Fee: Confirms your Guide’s registration with GGV and eligibility to attend events. In 2025, this is $60 for new members and $45 for renewals.
Guiding Term Fees: Cover attendance at weekly Unit meetings. Please check with the Girl Guides Victoria team for the Term Fee for your chosen Unit.
Additional optional activities, excursions, and camps may have varying costs.
Guides wear a Girl Guides Polo Shirt and navy bottoms. A sash is worn to display earned badges. Optional items like hoodies, fleeces, and hats are also available.
For more information and to purchase the uniform, please visit the Guide Shop.
Yes, we LOVE camping! Guides can attend Local, District, Regional, State, or National camps. Girls aged 14+ may also attend international camps.

Girl Guides Victoria places the utmost importance on child safety and well-being. We follow the Victorian Child Safe Standards, conduct background checks, require child protection training, and have clear reporting procedures.
Our programs empower children and ensure they feel safe and supported. Read more about our commitment to safeguarding.
The Guide Promise and Law are central to Girl Guiding. They support the development of the whole person — spiritually, morally, physically, mentally, socially, intellectually and emotionally.
All members make the same Promise, and when ready, a Guide will do so in a special ceremony. Units often have their own unique traditions for this event.
